Day 51-Oct. 19 and Day 52- Oct. 20

Day 51-Oct. 19- Today we decided to drive back to Concord, MA. Our first stop was at the old Main Street Burying Grounds to look for the graves of DH's Wheeler relations. We could not find the oldest stones and there appeared to be a lot of bare patches in this very old cemetery and no where near the 300 stones for those recorded there. From there it was to the Concord Free Library's Special Collection section which houses so much information on the Wheeler's that after 45 minutes we felt we'd never get through much of it. A picnic up near North Bridge was next followed by a photo stop at DH's cousin Col. Barret's House which the N.P. Service acquired a year ago and is presently doing restoration work on. DH was thrilled that he was able to go inside but avoided several taped off areas where lead paint removal was in the process.

Day 52- Oct. 20
- Today is preparation day for tomorrow's departure as we head south to PA and VA and then west back to California.
