Day 53- Oct. 21- Today we left Normandy Farms Campground after a very slow start. DH decided to put some air in the Motorhome front tires and in the process the core in the valve for one tire got bent. A call to Good Sam roadservice with an ETA of 1 1/2 caused us to look for another alternative. The tow company called and informed us they couldn't do anything for us but the campground called a truck tire man who came out and we were on the road in 1/2 hour. It was a long day traveling from MA to RI, CT, NY, NJ and to the Allentown KOA in PA. Most of the roads were horrible and crossing the Trapenzee Bridge was like riding a bucking bronco. New England drivers are a true experience and all the roads are very crowded. The fall colors were as beautiful, or more so, as we'd seen in NH.
Day 54- Oct. 22- Today started off cold and moist after an early morning rain shower. Today we traveled from PA to MD, WV, and to the Madison/Shanandoah Hills KOA outside of Madison, VA for a 4 night stay. (9 states in 2 days!) The roads were better and the traffic not quite as heavy. We can say that everywhere we've traveled this year there are major road construction projects going on. The last 25 miles were very scenic but on a very narrow road. Fall colors are starting here also and the hill sides will soon be full of color.
